If you want to link to external documents, websites, videos, or anything else in your invitation, it is easy to do so in Event Logic!
- You do this in the same formatting window where you change and add text.
Go to "Participants" and then "Invitation". - Select "Add text" or "Change text and/or add images" next to the text box. Position the cursor where you want to insert the link.
- Click on the "Insert/Edit" link.
- You will then get a box where you can enter a URL where you have the saved document. For example, you can use Drive, or Google Docs to create a URL for a document you have uploaded on one of these platforms.
- After you have pasted your URL, you can at "Text to show" name the link to something, for example, "Menu" or some other descriptive text so that it becomes clear in the invitation what is in the linked document. You can leave the title blank. Try to remember to always select "New window" so that the files open in a new window.
If you want a specific word in a text that you have already typed to become a link (for example "The menu can be found here" and the word "here" is a link) then create it by first selecting that word and then clicking on Insert/edit link and follow the steps above. "Text to display" will then already be filled in.
In the same way, you can also turn an image into a link (see this article on how to add a picture to your invitation). Select the image and click "Insert / Edit Link" and follow the steps above.
