The status of your participants is a convenient way to keep track of which of your participants are invited, who answered that they will come and not, and which have not yet responded to your invitation.
- Participant status a participant can have is:
- Not invited
- Not replied
- Attending
- Not attending
- Waiting list
The statuses are updated as the information about your participants is updated, either by you changing the information yourself or by an invitation you sent out where the participant was given the opportunity to register themselves.
When you first add participants to your list of participants, everyone is automatically given the status Not invited yet. After you have sent out the invitation to your participants, the status is updated to Not replied.
When a status changes from Not replied to Attending or Not Attending, an email is automatically sent to the participant confirming registration or deregistration for the event. This happens regardless of whether the participant announces their registration or deregistration through an invitation you have sent out, or if you as the organizer change the status of the participant manually.
If you want to change the status of many participants at once, you can select them in the list, or select all participants with a certain status and change all those who are selected at the same time. To do this, press Select and then Status.
This with status can also be handy to use if you want to mass work your list of participants. An example of this is if you are going to send out a reminder to everyone in your list of participants who did not respond to your invitation after a certain time, or if you want to export a list of everyone who comes to your event.
If you want to read more about these functions, you can read about it under sort participants, and send a reminder of an invitation.
